The Siesta Skiffs are built to last with minimum maintenance.   The Kevlar Reinforced hull is incredibly strong and built with premium resins and gel coat.  The Siesta Skiff 17 and 20 have massive fiberglass box stringer systems is just like those found on much bigger and  more expensive boats.  The transom is high density foam sandwiched between multiple layers of fiberglass.  No Wood Stringers or Transom means longer life and no worries about rot and decay.  The Deck on every Siesta Skiff is made with a tough honey comb material called Nida Core.  This helps to keep the weight down for improved fuel economy, is impervious to rot and more damage tolerant than any other coring in use today.  Unlike the foam and plywood used in decks on other boats, Nida Core will not delaminate upon impact.  It will not absorb water and adds floatation.
